Demystifying the Buzzword: What is a Spiritual Awakening?

If you spend any time on social media or search engines, you’ll see the phrase "spiritual awakening" everywhere. It’s often pictured as someone meditating on a mountaintop in perfect peace. But if you’ve been practicing healing or meditation since the 90s like I have, you know that the reality is often much noisier, messier, and—honestly—more interesting than that.
So, what is it actually?
It’s a Shift in Ownership
In simple terms, a spiritual awakening is when the spirit (the real you) decides to take the driver’s seat. For most of our lives, we run on "autopilot." We are driven by our upbringing, social programming, and old survival habits.
An awakening is the moment you start to realize: "I am not my thoughts, I am not my emotions, and I am certainly not my past." You move from being the person caught in the drama to being the conscious observer of the drama.
Why It Doesn't Always Feel "Good"
This is where people get confused. They think if they are "awakening," they should feel high-vibrational all the time. But as a clairvoyant, I see it differently.
When you turn the light on in a dark room, you’re going to see the dust. Awakening often triggers a "clearing out" phase. You might start to feel:
Discomfort with the familiar: Old jobs or relationships might suddenly feel "wrong."
Sensitivity: You become more aware of other people's energy and how it affects you.
The need for neutrality: You realize that reacting to everything is exhausting, and you start seeking a more neutral space.

The "Missing" Piece
If you’ve been practicing for decades and feel like you’re "missing something," here is the truth: You aren't looking for a finish line. Spiritual awakening isn't a goal you achieve; it’s a way of relating to the present time. You haven't missed anything. You are simply moving through the layers. The "missing piece" is often just the permission to stop trying to be "spiritual" and start being present.
Living the Awakening
You don't need a mountaintop. You just need to be in your body, grounded, and aware. An awakening is simply the process of releasing the "pictures" and programming that aren't yours so that your own spirit has room to breathe.
Need a Neutral Perspective?
Sometimes when you are in the middle of an "upgrade," it’s hard to see your own space clearly. Whether you’ve been on this path for thirty years or thirty days, I’m here to help you look at your energy in the present time.
We won't look for "future predictions." We’ll look at what your spirit is trying to tell you right now.
