The Death Card: A New Beginning in Disguise

Last night, I sat down for a quick one-card Tarot reading. As the practitioner flipped the card over, the Death card stared back at us. I watched as her expression shifted—she immediately saw it as something negative, a sign of trouble or an ending to be feared.
But as I looked at that same card, I felt something completely different. I didn't see an ending to fear; I saw a deep breath. I saw the closing of an old door so that a new one could finally swing open. To me, that card wasn't about loss—it was about ending an old pattern to make room for a fresh start.

Shifting the Perspective
In my thirty years of working as a clairvoyant, I’ve learned that our reaction to "endings" usually depends on how grounded we are in the present time. When we are stuck in old programming, change feels scary. We worry about what we are losing. But when we look at things from a neutral space, we can see that for anything new to grow, the old, stagnant energy has to move out of the way.
Think of it like a garden. If you want beautiful new flowers to bloom in the spring, you have to clear away the dried leaves and dead branches from the winter. That "pruning" isn't a bad thing; it’s an essential part of the cycle of life. The Death card is simply the spirit’s way of pruning what no longer serves us.
Clearing the Path
This is exactly why I combine clairvoyant readings with energy healing. During a reading, we might identify a "Death card moment" in your life—perhaps a job that has run its course or a relationship pattern that keeps repeating. Seeing it is the first step, but the healing is what helps you actually let go.
When we do energy healing, we are essentially helping your spirit complete that ending. We clear out the heavy energy of the past so you don't have to carry it into your future. Instead of feeling like something is being taken away, you start to feel lighter. You start to feel more like yourself.
Embracing the Present Time
If you are going through a major transition right now, try not to label it as "good" or "bad." Instead, try to look at it with neutrality. Ask yourself: What old pattern is finishing here? What new space is opening up in my spirit?
Transitions are rarely comfortable, but they are always an opportunity to reset. Whether it’s a card on a table or a big change in your daily life, remember that every ending is just the beginning of a new chapter. By staying grounded in the present time, you can walk through that door with confidence and clarity.
