Magical Days of the Week Part 2

In the last blog, we learned about the magical correspondences of Sunday through Wednesday. Did you try using this information in your spellwork? Now, here are the rest of the days of the week.

THURSDAY

Thursday is the day of Thor, Zeus, and Jupiter. Colors for Thursday include royal blues and greens. Gemstones for this day include turquoise, amethyst, and lapis lazuli. Honeysuckle and oak trees are also associated with this day.

Thursday is a day for honor, fealty, and family loyalty. It is also a good day for any spells relating to harvesting, success, and prosperity. What kind of a Thursday spell could you design for abundance? Perhaps by combining the sweet smell of honeysuckle with a blue candle, including some oak leaves on your altar, write a prayer or affirmation for your abundance to start. Then, light the candle, read the prayer/affirmation, and burn it in the candle’s flame. As the smoke dissipates, imagine it carrying your prayer out to the universe so it can return three-fold.

FRIDAY

Friday is ruled by the planet Venus and associated with the goddesses Venus and Aphrodite. The day is named for Freyja, so it’s a great day to thank her for love in your life.

Pink and aqua are colors that work well with Friday. Use a coral or rose quartz and plants such as strawberries, apple blossoms, and feverfew in your Friday workings. Friday is an excellent day for workings having to do with harmony, friendship, growth, fertility, and sexuality.

SATURDAY

Saturday is named for Saturn and is associated with the colors black and dark purple. Apache tear, obsidian, and hematite are all connected to Saturday’s magic. Use plants such as thyme and cypress tree needles.

Spellwork related to fortune, hope, protection, and banishment of negativity are all enhanced by the energy of Saturn’s day.

With any spell working, it is good to keep a journal. Include all the details of your spell (including the day of the week, month, and year), then make notes regarding the outcome. You’ll begin to learn from experience the powers of each day!
